18ft Skiff Queen of the Harbour - Race abandoned due to strong winds
Sun, 17 Mar 2013

18ft Skiff Queen of the Harbour Race 2013. Strong southerly winds forced officials to abandon the annual 18ft Skiff race on Sydney Harbour today.

It is the second time within the past month that an 18ft Skiff race has had to be abandoned due to wind strength. Administrators are now looking at ways to modify sails to reduce the problems in future.

Next Sunday is the last race of the 2012-2013 Season. The club’s regular spectator ferry will follow the race, leaving Double Bay Wharf at 2.15pm.
