After a couple of general recall for premature starting Race 4 got underway with the fleet splitting into a left hand group led by John Junior (NZ) and the majority of the fleet going in the opposite direction heading across on port tack into the Rangitoto Channel, and to fight the tide. Soon after the start the fleet split into two groups with the bigger group heading out into Rangitoto Channel getting the benefit of the stronger tide and probably a better shift. ... [more]
