Mon, 9 Aug 2010 at 07:00 to Sat, 14 Aug 2010

Skandia Sail for Gold regatta will play host to the final event on the ISAF World Cup circuit.

After six events so far the points between many of the classes remain incredibly close, and titles will be won and lost on the waters of Weymouth.

In 2010 the ISAF Sailing World Cup series scoring system has undergone some changes which maks the standings so close going into the final event.

The score for a boat will be the total of its regatta scores excluding two regattas according to the following criteria:

a. After three regattas, a boat’s worst regatta is excluded. b. After six regattas, a boat’s worst European regatta* and its remaining worst regatta are excluded.? (Nb: If a boat has two or more equal worst scores, the score(s) for the regatta(s) sailed earliest shall be excluded)

*The European events are:

Trofeo SAR Princess Sofia MAPFRE - Palma de Majorca, ESP Semaine Olympique Francaise - Hyeres, FRA Delta Lloyd Regatta - Medemblik, NED Kieler Woche - Kiel, GER Skandia Sail For Gold Regatta - Weymouth & Portland, GBR
