2015 Nacra 17 World Championship – In stark contrast to yesterday’s calm and sunny weather which kept the sailors ashore for the entire day, today’s weather threatened the sailors with another day on land with a wind speed of up to 30 knots and wind gusts even little higher.

2015 Laser World Championship - The winds were light today and not enough for world championship racing. Forecast is looking better for tomorrow and three races are scheduled. The 158 competitors from 63 nations have been split into Gold, Silver and Bronze flights based on their results in the qualifying series.

Today was meant to be a lay day for competitors in the IRC Qld State Titles and the Sunshine Coast Ocean Regatta. Instead they were still on the water but in completely different vessels having swapped their monohulls and multis for kayaks. They may have downsized their vessels but their competitiveness was still oversized in the Kayak Challenge sponsored by Viking Kayaks.
