Jon Emmett (GBR) sailed the last two races of the 2008 Byte CII World Championship even though he did not need to do so - a very nice touch from a classy competitor. He won race 14, 15 was thrown out and he ended up with 12 first place finishes after dropping a first and a third. Hard to beat! ...[more]

There are large numbers of Byte sailors who own the rig but who still only sail the Standard rig, either because their Provincial Associations do not recognize the CII or there are not CII starts planned in various events.
